Purim celebration at Kings County bar on Siegel St. 3/9/09
Those who walked into Kings County bar on Siegel St. in the early evening of Monday 3/9/09 were up for Purim treats organized by Rabbi Menachem Heller and his Chabad friends.
There were traditional Purim treats and Rabbi Heller read the whole Megilah !!!

SITE Festival 2009
Click the link below to view a video made by a forum member.
The video is on the SITE festival in Bushwick this past weekend (March 7 & 8th).
Looks like more than one person enjoyed the "Body out of Pyongyang" as it's featured in both this video and the one in the previous blog posting.
Enjoy!

Woman got out of the cage_Pyongyang
I was very happy yesterday, Saturday 3/7/09, to see that the woman was able to get out of the cage.
It was a part of the Bushwick Site Fest, which is a 2 days of live music, dance, theater and performance art.
The woman in the cage was an art performance titled "Body Of Pyongyang", about the women in North Korea.

Cheers!
PS- Bushwick residents- please feel free to send us your photos, art, music, etc. at info@bushwickyearbook.com. Chances are it'll get posted here.
